FALL INTO FABRIC

October is one of our favorite months at Marshall Dry Goods. The crisp air and falling leaves let us know that fall fabrics are at the top of our lists! Fashion is always at its best with sweaters, cardigans, jeans, and boots. As hard as it is for some people to go from flip flops and bathing suits to boots and cardigans, fall brings the coziness to fashion and home decor. Here are some of our favorite fall fabrics - as we are stocked up, ready to supply you with your fall and cool-weather projects!

WOOL

Wool is THE fabric of fall fashion (that is if you're not allergic) for apparel and accessories. You'll see it in leg warmers, hats, gloves, scarves, dresses, skirts, and jackets most of all. Wool comes in light, medium, and heavy weights, and then there is cashmere of course! 

DENIM

Denim is the All-American fabric that will never go out of style. You see it in jean jackets, jeans, skirts, dresses, overalls, and handbags. Denim comes in different washes and thicknesses, and is known to be a durable fabric. It's a casual fabric that can be dressed up or down for fall fashion.

VELVET. VELOUR. VELVETEEN.

Velvet is all warm and fuzzy! It is a rich looking fabric that is seen in a lot of fall/winter dresses and jackets, especially around Thanksgiving and Christmas. Velvet can be silk, polyester, rayon, and sometimes wool. Velour is a stretch knit with a cut pile, great for sweat suits and workout clothing projects. Velveteen is made of cotton and is an imitation of velvet. All three of these fabrics make an amazing choice for fall fashion!

FLEECE

At Marshall Dry Goods we sell fleece like it's going out of style, especially in the fall and winter months. Fleece is great for scarves, gloves, hats, blankets, and ponchos! 

FAUX SUEDE

Faux Suede feels great and looks great! It is seen in vests, shoes, jackets, and sometimes even pants in fall fashion. 

CORDUROY

Corduroy is a classic fabric that can be seen in pants, overalls, and handbags, along with other things. Corduroy not only looks great, but FEELS great.
